If you've never experienced rock climbing before, come in and see why so many people are addicted to this fun and challenging sport. The experienced and passionate staff help provide a fun and safe environment to climbers of all ages. If you're already hooked on climbing, come see what The Rock Oasis has to offer - there is something for everyone. Easily accessible by public transit, car or bicycle, The Rock Oasis is as convenient as it is flexible, as we are open 365 days a year. Free parking is available at the rear of the building.
Our Technique Clinic Series with Mark Smith continues!
Clinics will run from 7pm-8pm and 8pm-9pm on the last Wednesday of the month and each session is limited to 16 participants. NOTE - The clinics are $8 for members and $10 for non-members (plus hst) in addition to paid gym visit. Call the gym to register at 416-703-3434 or register in person. Climbing Weight Transfer
Transferring your body weight to your feet while climbing is one of the lesser understood but very important skills in climbing. In this clinic we will go over what to do and what to avoid in order to help make climbing easier by having your weight on your feet instead of your arms.

Hand and Foot Matching
This under appreciated skill can offer massive improvements to your climbing when focused on. This clinic will go over some great ways to develop this skill and use it to make climbing easier.
Clinic 9 - Wednesday March 23
Reading routes and understanding hand hold positions
When climbing, understanding how to best approach and get through the moves ahead makes all the difference. This clinic will go over some great ways to improve your route finding ability as well as understanding how to approach upcoming hand hold positions so that you can use them in their most advantageous way.
About the climber
Mark Smith has passionately devoted the last 17 years of his life to becoming a better rock climber every year. He truly thrives in sharing climbing with others and is just as excited to help talk someone through a difficult section of a climb, as he is in devising his own unique solutions for his climbs.
Mark's understanding of climbing technique and movement have come from his constant push to learn how to climb everything using the least amount of effort while taking advantage and adapting a climb to ones own advantages. All of his achievements throughout his climbing have been due to this fundamental value. His achievements include, climbing several 5.14's and over a 130 5.13's at locations all over the world.

SPRING 2016 YOUTH CLIMBING PROGRAMS
Registration for Semester 2 (February 2016 - June 2016) is now open!

WALL RATS (GRADES 1-6)
Recreational program with a focus on fitness, fun and friends. Guided climbing, games and activities. Grades 1 to 6. School pickup available at Morse, Pape and Withrow schools. See our attached poster for all the details.
DEVELOPMENT TEAM (YOUTH 9+)
For youth that want to be better climbers. Learn climbing techniques and skills. Develop strength and endurance. Youth 9+. One, two or three sessions a week. See our attached poster for all the details.
For experienced and dedicated climbers who would like to push their climbing to the next level. Two training sessions a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. By invitation or try-out only. Contact the gym for more details.
Our youth programs include the use of rental harnesses and shoes, a gym membership for the duration of the program and a t-shirt. All youth programs qualify for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit. SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMPS
Flexible half day, full day and weekly options available on Toronto District School Board PA days, Christmas Break, March Break and summer holidays. Climbing, bouldering and related activities. Call to register, walk-ins subject to availability. Ages 6 and up.
NOTE: Private school holiday camps available with a minimum of 5 participants.
Half day (9am - 12pm, or 1pm - 4pm) - $35
Full day - $70
Week - $350
All are prices subject to HST. Climbers under 18 must have a waiver read and signed by their own parent or legal guardian.
